Gerry Mosier is the owner and one of the operators of The Whistle Stop Gift Shop in Durbin, WV. The shop opened in May 2008 with the concept of providing high quality local WV made products.
Gerry is originally from Arkansas. However, her 30 year long career as a civilian with the Department of Defense took her to various assignments in New Jersey, Florida, Maryland and Virginia before retiring in 2006. She started quilting after retirement. That led her in the direction of retail as an outlet for her quilting projects. Now, she will quickly tell you that she didn't actually retire; she only changed career directions - and a welcome change it was.
